Mr. Henry O. Laraiyetan is the Group Executive Director in charge of BGL Capital Management. He also sits on the Boards of BGL subsidiary companies. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Finance and a Master of Science degree in Business Administration specializing in General Management from the University of Lagos. Prior to joining BGL Plc., he worked with International Merchant Bank Plc. (formerly First National Bank of Chicago) in Credit and Marketing department and later Financial Control group.
He has over 20 years working experience in Investment Banking, Asset Management, Securities Trading and Project Management. He has attended various local and international courses on Investment Banking, specialized Making Markets Work, Corporate Negotiations, Financial Modeling, Competitive Strategy and Developing Leadership Competencies at GIBS in South Africa, IESE Barcelona, Spain and IMD, Lausanne, Switzerland. He is an alumnus of the New York Institute of Finance, New York and the Lagos Business School. Mr Laraiyetan concluded an Executive Master of Business Administration program earning an MBA from the Ivy League Business School, Kellogg School of Management in North Western University, Chicago USA. A program jointly run by Schulich School of Business in York University, Toronto Canada. He is also a certified Project Management Professional (PMP) with certification from Project Management Institute in Philadelphia, USA.
Mr. Laraiyetan is an authorized dealing clerk of the Nigerian Stock Exchange and an Associate of the Chartered Institute of Stockbrokers. He was formerly the Director of Finance of the Association of Issuing Houses of Nigeria. Mr. Laraiyetan was on the Federal Government of Nigeria fact finding mission to Brazil in 2007 on Energy and Agriculture (and allied products) His core competence spans across competitive strategy, financial advisory, due diligence, corporate restructuring, business turnaround, structuring M & A deals and project finance.
